Schedules disappeared or stopped working
How to find a missing schedule and get it running again.
If a heating schedule has disappeared from your Mixergy app, follow the checks below to find out what has happened and how to restore it. If the schedule is still visible but your tank isn’t heating when you expect, see Tank not heating on schedule.
If someone else manages your tank’s settings, ask them to carry out these checks.
1. Check that you’re viewing the right tank
Open the Mixergy app and check the tank name. If you have more than one tank, make sure you’re viewing the one with the missing schedule.
Not sure how to select a tank? Follow Getting started with the Mixergy app for help.
- You were viewing a different tank: select the correct one and check whether the schedule is there.
- You’re viewing the correct tank but the schedule is missing: continue to step 2.
2. Check that the tank is online
Find the Mixergy Gauge, the slim black panel with lights and buttons on the tank. Look for the small Wi-Fi symbol near the top.
- Blue: the tank is online. Close and reopen the app, then check the schedule again. If it is still missing, continue to step 3.
- White: the tank is offline. Follow Check your tank’s connection status. Once the symbol turns blue, reopen the app. If the schedule is still missing, continue to step 3.
- You can’t see a lit symbol or safely reach the gauge: follow the connection guide or ask for help using the details below.
Saved schedules normally continue while the tank is offline. However, the app needs a connection to receive current information and send changes. Don’t rebuild a schedule just because the tank is offline.
3. Check whether automatic heating is selected
Your tank can follow the times and hot water amounts you set yourself, called manual schedules. It can also use Mixergy Flex, an automatic option that learns your household’s hot water routine. Only one option can be active, so a manual schedule won’t run while Flex is selected. Follow Set schedules and smart control for help finding these options in the app and checking which is selected.
- Mixergy Flex is active: your manual schedule will not run at the same time. If automatic heating is what you want, follow Using Mixergy Flex to check its setup. If you want to return to manual schedules, follow the switching instructions in Set schedules and smart control.
- Manual schedules are active: if a schedule is still missing, continue to step 4.
- You’re unsure which option is active: ask whoever manages the tank or contact the team below before changing anything.
4. Restore only the missing schedule
If the tank is online and manual schedules are active, follow Set schedules and smart control to recreate the missing schedule.
Use your usual days and heating times, with the hot water levels you need. The hot water level is the amount of water the tank is asked to keep available.
Save the schedule, then close and reopen it to check that it remains in the app.
- The schedule is saved: leave the tank switched on. Follow Tank not heating on schedule to check whether it heats as expected during the next scheduled period.
- The schedule disappears again or won’t save: contact the team below. Don’t delete and rebuild all your schedules.
Need hot water while you check?
Press the up arrow on the gauge to ask for a small Boost. A green light means the request has been accepted; it does not mean the water is hot yet. Allow the normal heating time and look for the green light to turn red.
If Boost doesn’t work, follow Boost not working. If you have no hot water at all, follow No hot water.
Need help?
Ask for help if the schedule repeatedly disappears, won’t save or still fails after the relevant checks.
If you rent, contact your landlord or housing provider. Homeowners can contact Mixergy’s Homeowners & Residents team on 01865 595 875, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
Tell them whether the schedule is missing or visible but not working. Include the tank name and screenshots of any schedule settings or messages. Say which checks you completed and whether Boost heated the water. Don’t include passwords or a visible QR code.
Common questions
Does going offline delete my schedule?
Saved schedules normally continue while the tank is offline. The app may not show current information, and new changes cannot reach the tank until it reconnects.
Can Mixergy Flex and manual schedules run together?
No. Flex controls heating automatically, while manual schedules use the times and hot-water amounts you set. Only one can be active. Follow Set schedules and smart control to check which is selected.
Should I delete and rebuild all my schedules?
No. Check the tank, connection and active control method first. If a manual schedule is genuinely missing, recreate only that schedule.
What if my schedule is visible but the tank doesn’t follow it?
Follow Tank not heating on schedule. That guide helps you check whether the tank already has enough hot water and whether it heats during the scheduled period.
What if I rent or don’t manage the app?
Ask your landlord, housing provider or the person managing your tank to check the schedule. Don’t change managed controls, heat-source settings or tariff details yourself.
