Online and offline functions

Before troubleshooting anything else, it’s important to confirm whether your tank is online. The most reliable indicator is the blue Wi-Fi light on the tank’s gauge. 

• Blue Wi-Fi light on: tank is online

• White Wi-Fi light: tank is offline

• No Wi-Fi light: Tank has no power

Connectivity in the app 

When the tank is online: 

• The app shows live hot water levels
• You can change schedules and settings 
• Boost works through the app 
• Tariff and optimisation features are active 

When the tank is offline: 

• The app may show old data or no data
• Settings cannot be changed
• Schedules may not update
• You may see error or permission messages 

Offline functions 

If the tank is offline, your tank will still:

• produce hot water 
• boost using the buttons on the gauge 
• run existing schedules 

If the tank is offline, you cannot:

• add the tank to an account
• change settings in the app

To restore full control, the tank must be reconnected to the internet.
