iHP X – Solar PV not diverting to the cylinder
When there is an problem with diverting Solar PV to an iHP X, find the possible causes and solutions here.
Possible Issues
- “Use Spare PV to Heat Tank” not enabled
- CT Clamp incorrectly installed or not connected
- Incorrect cabling to current reader/controller
Solution
- Enable spare PV option in the PV Diverter Schedule
- Ensure CT clamp is:
- On the correct cable
- Oriented toward mains fuse
- Connected to Current Reader
- Use full 8-conductor Cat5e/Cat6 cable from Current Reader to controller (J55 or mezzanine board zoneBus Out)
