Charge stuck at 10 to 30% (top-up pump)
How to confirm or rule out a top-up pump fault before ordering a part.
The top-up pump is the most common hardware fault. Mixergy support can confirm or rule out the pump from server data before a part is sent, so start with the data check.
Symptoms
- Charge stuck at around 10%, with the app showing heating to 100% but the charge not climbing.
- The pump running continuously.
- A loud or grinding pump noise.
Follow these checks in order
1. Ask for a remote data check
Pump behaviour is visible on the servers. If support hasn't checked the cylinder data yet, contact Mixergy support with the MX number before ordering anything. They can usually confirm or rule out the pump in minutes.
2. Power cycle the cylinder
Switch off at the spur for 30 seconds, then switch back on. Does the pump return to normal?
- If yes, it's resolved for now. Ask support to monitor the cylinder for 24 to 48 hours. If it happens again, treat it as a failing pump.
- If not, go to step 3.
3. Confirm the fault from the data
- If the data confirms a pump fault, support will arrange a replacement top-up pump against the MX number. The pump is covered under warranty as a Mixergy technology component, and support will confirm how it gets fitted.
- If the data doesn't point to the pump, go back to Cylinder not heating as expected. Support may investigate further if the data looks abnormal.
